Desperate Farm Mom

June 2 | 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Council Bluffs Public Library

Elisha Wells Stroupe has compiled a second collection of stories as a small town girl trying to raise two farm boys in Desperate Farm Mom. In her first book, Desperate Farmwives, she wrote about adjusting to farm life with her husband. Now, in her second book, she discusses the humorous differences of how life looks like for children on the farm rather than as a townie. She finds that the shenanigans of two farm boys are far from the life of a town kid as she was raised. Who would have thought that a mom would have to continually ask herself, "Is that mud? I hope that's mud!" From the Desperate Farmwives blog, Elisha Wells Stroupe has compiled her best stories about raising farm kids and some questionable parenting strategies which may only work when you are miles from town. These stories may just help other moms realize they aren’t doing so bad after all, in comparison.

This program is free and open to the public. Elisha will have books available for purchase for those interested.
