Learn about the Lotus Monastery in Council Bluffs before walking downtown history-filled Council Bluffs. The 5k walk will pass the historic 100 Block, beautiful Bayliss Park with its unique fountain, the block-long Veteran's Plaza, the Union Pacific Museum housed in the Carnegie Library building, one of the few Squirrel Cage Jails left in the country, and the miniature Bregant House built for the "little couple" who worked for Woodward Candy. A second 5 K loop will add the Historic Dodge House, Victorian Homes of Oakland Ave., and the Black Angel.

*Leashed dogs are welcome on the trail, but not inside the buildings. There is a $4 fee for this event.
