Qi Gong is a centuries-old practice that combines relaxed breathing with slow, gentle movement to restore energy, calm the nervous system, and support overall wellness. In this beginner-friendly class, students will be guided through movements from the Shibashi Tai Chi Qi Gong 18-form, leaving them feeling relaxed and refreshed.
Studies supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) suggest Qi Gong may help reduce stress and anxiety, improve balance, support immune health, manage chronic pain, and enhance cardiovascular and respiratory function.
What to Expect
This 45-minute class includes time for questions afterward. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, as participants will stand for most of the session. No experience or equipment needed.

The Iowa Driver Improvement Program (DIP) will examine attitudes and behavior in relation to driving. It will focus on teaching drivers how their behind the wheel attitude affects their driving behavior. Its purpose is to give participants an opportunity to reflect on their driving behavior and make a commitment to positively alter their daily driving experience. Please note, cancellations must follow IWCC Policy. If not followed, a rescheduling fee will be applied.
The Pottawattamie County Recorder's Office will be holding traveling office hours on the second Tuesday of each month, from 4pm-8pm. Each month we will set up shop in a different town.
The initiative is designed to make Recorder’s Office services more accessible, especially for residents who are unable to visit the courthouse during standard business hours. During these traveling sessions, staff will be available to assist with:

Join Tom O’Brien, owner of Gardens on Glen, for a hands-on workshop exploring the rewarding practice of cultivating mushrooms outdoors. Participants will learn how to prepare growing beds using wood chips and sawdust spawn, manage moisture and shade conditions, and integrate mushroom patches into existing garden spaces. Tom will explain how outdoor mushroom cultivation not only yields delicious, nutrient-rich, sometimes perennial-like harvests but also enhances soil health, boosts microbial activity, and supports companion plants. Attendees will gain step-by-step experience inoculating their own substrate and understanding the life cycle of fungi. Each participant will prepare a take-home mushroom starter setup, ready to establish a thriving outdoor mushroom bed.

Mystic Fest was started 30 years ago by Charlie of Next Millenium, the premier Metaphysical store in Omaha. It is now hosted by Sylvia & Gigi of Galactic Expo and KC Metaphysical. The goal of ALL our events is to bring enlightenment and healing to the community.
