Take in the beauty of the annual Perseid Meteor Shower and explore the wonders to be found in the night sky at Crescent Hill at Hitchcock! Visitors are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, binoculars, and telescopes to view nature's fireworks from the park's trail system. The Omaha Astronomical Society will be present with telescopes to help you get a close-up look at celestial bodies.
$5 per vehicle entry fee (cash or check) or Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation membership.
Please note that this event is extremely dependent on the weather & cloud cover. Seeing meteors is not guaranteed. Any cancellations or changes to the event will be posted to the Pottawattamie Conservation website & the Crescent Hill at Hitchcock facebook page. We highly recommend checking either of these locations for any event updates prior to heading out for the evening. Thank you!
